Common questions

Here are some of the most common questions that we get.

Q:  I have never SUP'd before, what class should I take? ​ A:  Great question! SUP 101 is a great class for beginners. You'll find that everyone in the group is encouraging and you'll meet people with your skill set to paddle with. If you prefer a more private setting, you can book a Private SUP Session or a Semi-Private session for you and a friend.

Q: I have tried to SUP but couldn't stand up.  Can you help with that? ​ A:  Of course!  Sometimes it is just having someone guide you and give you the confidence to stand.  It is probably more exciting for me than you when you accomplish what you thought you couldn't!

Q:  I am not a great swimmer, will you still teach me how to SUP? ​ A:  This is a common question and some have no swimming experience but enjoy SUP.  If you can't swim, you must sign up for a 1:1  session so I can have my full attention on you.  I will have you wear an inherently  buoyant PFD, so when you do get in the water (Yes, you will get in, it as part of the class) you will float.  For your safety, If you are not confident or comfortable when you go in the water, I may recommend that you not proceed.

Q:  I want to take a class with just my group of friends, what class should I book? ​ A:  Book the Semi Private Class and let me know the names in your group so I can block it just for  your group.
